AFTERGLOW / PRIVACY

Your quiet corner.

Privacy policy for Afterglow by Toumari. Effective 27 October 2026.

Who we are

Toumari develops Afterglow (Android package com.afterglow.puzzle). Contact jackwillia141@gmail.com with privacy questions or requests.

What stays on your device

Afterglow stores puzzle progress, undo history, completed rooms, hint balances, sound and animation settings, and your ad age preference in the app's private storage. The game does not send these records to Toumari. There is no sign-in, account, cloud save or developer-operated game server. From version 1.0-rc10, optional gameplay measurement uses Google Analytics for Firebase as described below. Your age preference is a choice of age group, not a date of birth.

Advertising and consent

The app uses Google AdMob to offer optional rewarded ads for extra hints and occasional ads between completed rooms. For players who select “16 or over,” Google's User Messaging Platform checks whether consent is required before the app requests ads. Where required, you can accept or reject available purposes and manage choices through Settings → Ad privacy choices. Refusing personalised ads does not prevent you from playing.

When Google's advertising services are used, Google may process IP addresses (which can indicate approximate location), device and advertising identifiers, app interactions including ad views and taps, and diagnostic information. This supports advertising, measurement, fraud prevention, and service operation. The app does not request GPS, contacts, microphone, or camera access. Google may process information outside your country according to its privacy terms and safeguards.

See Google's privacy policy, how Google uses information from partner apps, and Google Mobile Ads data disclosures. Ad and consent services may use identifiers or local storage subject to your choices and applicable requirements.

Optional gameplay analytics (version 1.0-rc10 and later)

For players who select “16 or over,” gameplay statistics are off until you explicitly choose Share statistics. You can change your choice in Settings → Gameplay statistics. Selecting “Under 16” or “Prefer not to say” keeps statistics off and withdraws any previous Analytics choice. Your age group is not sent as an Analytics event or user property. Advertising consent is separate; declining statistics does not restrict rooms, hints or progress.

When enabled, Google receives a random app-installation identifier, app/device/version information, approximate country/region inferred from network information, acquisition and session information, screen visits, and selected gameplay events: room starts and completions, moves, time spent, hints, Undo/reset, tutorial use and ad-flow outcomes. This helps Toumari understand acquisition, engagement, retention, difficulty and monetisation. We do not send names, emails, precise GPS locations, lamp coordinates, board layouts, puzzle masks, saved-game files or support messages to Analytics. Analytics advertising-ID collection and advertising personalisation consent signals are disabled.

Afterglow’s Analytics property is linked to its Google AdMob app. This permits Google Analytics and AdMob to share linked app data for monetisation and engagement reporting, including analysing ad revenue alongside gameplay and retention. The link does not enable optional collection without your choice or override the app’s separate advertising consent and personalisation settings.

Withdrawing consent stops future Analytics collection and resets local Analytics data; it does not erase your progress or automatically delete events already received by Google. Contact us about access or deletion requests. Google may process data outside your country under its privacy safeguards. See Firebase privacy information and how Google uses information from partner apps. Earlier app versions do not include this optional Analytics SDK.

Younger players

Afterglow is designed for teens aged 13 and above and adults, and is not directed to children under 13. Choosing “Under 16” or “Prefer not to say” keeps ad requests and optional gameplay statistics disabled; the game and hints remain available. This preference can be changed in Settings. We do not ask for a name or date of birth. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us so we can address it.

Support messages

If you email Toumari, your email address and the information you include are used to respond and resolve your request. Please send only what is needed. Messages are kept as needed for support, follow-up, and applicable legal obligations; you can request deletion by email.

Your choices and deletion

Use Settings to change ad privacy choices when available, your age preference, sound, or animations. Clear Afterglow's storage in Android settings or uninstall it to delete local game data. This cannot be undone. Android settings also provide controls for your advertising ID. To request access, correction, deletion, or object to processing of information held by Toumari, email the support address. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to restrict processing, withdraw consent, or complain to your data-protection authority. Google handles requests concerning information it controls through its linked privacy resources.
